What sort of offers can I get?

1.  Fixed price reduction voucher: a simple fixed price reduction in the price of your purchase, for example “£1 off.”  The conditions under which the “money off” can be applied will be clear in the voucher, for example

“buy four coffees, get £1 off your bill. Code C27, use before 24.2.07”.

Only one fixed price reduction voucher can be used per qualifying purchase.

2.  Discount voucher: In this case the discount is expressed as a percentage of your total bill for the relevant purchase.  This means that the more you spend, the more you can save!  Again, the conditions under which the percentage discount can be applied will be clear in the voucher.  For example

“buy four dinners, save 10%. Code D5”.

Only one discount voucher can be used per qualifying purchase.

3.  Item voucher:  A voucher for a specific item, for example a particular bottle of wine.  This voucher will specify the product and the net offer price.  For example,
“House red or white wine only £14.00 per bottle. Code IL123”, or “chefs special lasagne only £3.50 with this voucher.  Code IF37 exp 28.2.07”

Item vouchers can also be used to add value to another purchase, for example

“buy four dinners, get a free bottle of house wine”.

Only one item voucher can be used per qualifying purchase.

4.  Package voucher:  A voucher for a specific package offer.  This voucher will specify the package and the net offer price.  These offers are subject to availability and you must telephone us to make your booking.  These vouchers are only valid for bookings made in advance and may contain other restrictions, such as full prepayment, non-refundable in the event of cancellation and so on.  The booking restrictions will be made clear to you when you contact us to make your booking.  An example of the Package voucher is: 

“Mhor Romance! 2 nt romantic DBB package only £240 per couple, bubbly and chocs in your room–call 01463234308 quote code R31307 to book, valid until 31.03.2007”

Only one package voucher can be used per qualifying purchase.

5.  Information Messages:  txtMhor has a feature which can send information to your email address.  This is particularly handy for brochures, direction maps, wine lists and so on.  All you need to do is enter the appropriate keyword, then a space, followed by your email address and the system will send you an email with the information you’ve requested attached, usually in PDF format.  Please be careful when you enter your email address into your text message.

What does “qualifying purchase” mean?

A qualifying purchase is the purchase each voucher is designed to promote.  For example: An item voucher promoting “lasagne” will only be valid for the purchase of lasagne, not steak pie; a discount voucher offering a 10 percent discount if four dinners are purchased is only valid for four or more dinners, it will not be valid for only one, two or three dinners.

Can I use more than one voucher to pay for my whole purchase?

While you are restricted to one voucher offer per qualifying purchase, you are not restricted to how many qualifying purchases you can make in one visit to the Glen Mhor.  If you have a voucher for each discrete qualifying purchase, you can combine them to reduce your total bill.  For example, you might have a voucher that offers a percentage discount when you buy four dinners and a second voucher which offers you a bottle of wine at a particular price.  In this case, you could use both vouchers to discount your bill.

How long do txt Mhor vouchers last for?

Each of the voucher types will have an expiry date.  Vouchers can only be redeemed before the expiry date.  Some vouchers will have a short term expiry date and are valid for one day or up to one week.  Other vouchers will have a longer term expiry date from one week up to two months.  The expiry date will always be noted on your voucher.  For the avoidance of doubt, expiry time is defined as midnight on the date stated.

Is it always the same offers?

No.  The voucher offers will change regularly, in some cases daily.  This means you can enjoy a new offer every day if you want to!

Should I make a booking?

Yes.  We recommend that you do!  The Glen Mhor can get busy very quickly and we’d hate for you to have made the effort to get your voucher and then not be able to redeem it!  All voucher offers are subject to availability and we make reservations on a first come, first served basis.  Call on 01463 234308 to make your reservation for lunch or dinner or to make an enquiry for bedroom accommodation.

Can I forward the voucher to someone else?

Yes you can.  If you want to share the voucher offer with others, go ahead.  Just remember that there are certain restrictions applying to particular offers which may mean you can’t all use your own copy of the same voucher at the same time.  Percentage discount offer vouchers are a good example of this, only one voucher can be applied per party.
