Have you already run the 10K a couple of times and it seems that it’s getting too easy for you?
If you are looking for a new challenge, you better hurry and sign up for this special event happening on Sunday 10th March. Just on the brink of spring, Inverness Half Marathon is the best way to celebrate the end of this long and cold winter and give your body a push into the new season!
A half marathon is 21 kilometres (or 13.1 miles), exactly half the distance of a full marathon (26.2 miles). If you consider that the 10K is 6.2 miles, you are not to take the half marathon lightly. It still requires a lot of preparation, both physically and psychologically, a lot of training and willpower. It’ basically more than two 10Ks together, definitely not something achievable in a short length of time!
Do not despair, if you’ve never run more than a 10K in your life there are still plenty of training guides you can find online, you just need to find the more suitable for you. You can also look for an app on your phone, you’ll see there are plenty of solutions to help get you in shape for the half marathon.
